Hi Folks,

I've tried to check out the repo and I'm getting an error about access
being denied to "C:\Windows\Temp\report.tmp".

I've tried on both Win7 x64 and Mac OS X - both have the same result.

Regards,
Roc

What repo? The svn or the git for openalsoft?

I'm not sure much has changed in the svn except perhaps some syncing of
openalsoft over - its main development happens in git. I've done a svn2git
conversion of the svn repository some time ago here for historical
purposes: https://github.com/rpavlik/openal-svn-mirror

I've also extracted just the freealut sources, and overhauled the build
system (CMake), which you can now find in git here:
https://github.com/vancegroup/freealut

I tried it too. The Creative SVN repo at
svn://connect.creativelabs.com/OpenAL doesn't seem to be working anymore.

If you're on Windows and want to use Creative hardware, I'd recommend
the SDK here:

http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/OpenAL11CoreSDK.zip

If you're not on Windows, or you don't care about hardware and want a
well-maintained software version, use OpenAL-Soft. The brand new 1.14
version is here:

http://kcat.strangesoft.net/openal-soft-1.14-bin.zip

or just grab a clone of the git repository here:

git clone git://repo.or.cz/openal-soft.git openal-soft

Interestingly I can still commit to it, and svn log works. But I can't
update/checkout from it, either.

Thanks guys.

It was the SVN repo but I'll try the Git one. Specifically, I want to take
a quick look at the source for a Mac OS X project.

If it helps any, there are similar threads shown in Google Search which
indicate that a server restart "fixed" the problem.

Hi all,

For those needing access to the SVN repository, the problem with checkouts
has now been fixed.
I've just tested it out myself, and it all seems to be working again.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused while it was acting up.

- Ian

An update on this. Testing it myself, it does seem to be working now,
but it is taking an extremely long time to check out the trunk. I've
been running it for over 10 minutes now and I'm still early in the process.
